4. The provisions of the preceding paragraph 2 apply accordingly to the provisions of paragraph 1 and the preceding paragraph approved by the Ministry of Transport.

 

(Validity Term of Airworthiness Certification)
Article 14. The term of validity of an airworthiness certificate shall be one year. However, with regard to any aircraft used for an air transport service, the term of validity of the airworthiness certificate may be period as specified by the Minister of Transport.

 

(Suspension of Validity of Airworthiness and Others)
Article 14-(2). The Minister of Transport may suspend the validity of the airworthiness certificate, shorten the validity term of the airworthiness certificate or change the maters designated under Article 10 paragraph 3 (including where this provision is applied under Article 10-(2) paragraph 2, for the said aircraft or the said type of aircraft, if he determines that either, the aircraft concerned or an aircraft of the same type as that concerned fails to conform to the standards stipulated in an investigation under Article 10 paragraph 4, Article 16 paragraph 1 or Article 134 paragraph 2; or the aircraft concerned would fail to comply with the standards stipulated in the aforementioned Articles, before the expiration of the validity term specified in the preceding Article; or if it is determined that the safety of the aircraft is uncertain for any other reasons.

 

(Invalidation of Airworthiness Certification)
Article 15. The airworthiness certificate shall become invalid for aircraft in the following categories.

 

1. Registered aircraft for which the registration of the said aircraft has been canceled.

 

2. The aircraft specified under Article 4 paragraph 2 when the said aircraft shall be regarded as an aircraft specified by Ordinances of the Ministry of Transport which may not be used for air navigation in consideration of noise level and other circumstances.

 

(Inspection of Repair or Alteration)
Article 16. When any operator of an airworthiness-certified aircraft, repairs or modifies the said aircraft to an extent specified by Ordinances of the Minister of Transport (excluding repair to the extent specified by Ordinances of the Ministry of Transport using spare parts certified under the subsequent article). Such repairs and aircraft performance must be re-inspected and approved by the Minister of Transport, before the aircraft can be used for air navigation.
